When there is a need to keep product cold, without the space for a compressor driven refrigeration system, the countertop chiller may do the job. Utilizing thermoelectric cooling, a process that cools through a flow of electrons, the countertop chiller is able to refrigerate with very minimal use of electricity.
The countertop chiller holds product below 41º Fahrenheit (5º C) indefinitely, costing just 8 cents per day in electricity*. The clear, hinged lid allows for quickly checking product level. A 2-qt (1.9 L) vessel and 7" x 7" (17.8 cm x 17.8 cm) footprint is ideal in scenarios where you wouldn't want to keep your product on ice. Some thoughts are sliced lemons at a beverage station, cream cheese packets at a self-serve breakfast station or dairy creamers at a coffee station. The chiller also works well in a catering or expediting station where you need to keep a product cold before garnishing the plate.
